George was sick for a week now. Last week, he was down with sudden high fever, but doctor do not know the cause. Consulted 2 PDs and they gave us lots of possibilities on what it might be. George was actually down with Gastrointestinal Virus. This was confirmed when we brought George to Mount Alvernia on Sunday to do a complete test. We brought his stool along to do a Stool Culture and FEME test. A blood test was also done to trace for virus infections.
Actually before proceeding to Mount Alvernia on Sunday, George already did a Urine Culture and FEME test at Raffles Hospital as the PD suspected UTI, which can cause high fever. However, results were negative and it was not UTI. Following which, George came down with diarrhea, which was why we brought his stool for a culture test.
It was very tiring for me. I almost did not sleep for the first few days as I need to monitor George's fever every hour and alternate feed him with Nurofen and Paracetamol every 2-3 hours. Before his fever really subsided, diarrhea came. It was tough for George and he keeps whining. Poor George! Now his fever had subsided, but I need to monitor him on his diarrhea and give him sufficient fluid. Luckily, my mum came out on Saturday morning by herself to stay at our house for few days by cooking meals for us, while we attend to George. She went back yesterday morning. Now Im alone again to look after little Georgie.
Get well real soon my little Darling!
