Started solids with Jayden

Started with solids on Jayden when he turns 6 months 2 weeks ago. This time I started with Barley cereal (experience gained from taking care of George). No rice cereal for Jayden as Im afraid of constipation problem as rice cereal is quite binding. After giving barley cereal for a week, I introduced avocado and apple & prune juice to him.

As of now, he is accepting the food well. But it is quite difficult to feed him. He does not open his mouth and can't sit still. He likes to use his hands to hit my hands, the bowl and spoon. He even snatches the spoon from me. After every feed, his whole body and face will be full of cereal. Sigh... Just hope things can get better and he can sit still to finish his cereal soon....
