George was down last Monday. Fever for first few days and after fever subsided comes phlegm cough. Anyway, the PD already told us everything we will encounter for that week. I must say he is a good PD. Always provide the necessary information to parents. Never hide anything. When George was on a better track, Jayden fell ill. Got the same virus as George. Doctor called that hoarse voice virus. Haha... Cause fever comes first with a little coughing. After fever subsided, phlegm starts to kick in and nose gets runny.
Nightmare, nightnare, nightmare... It never seems to end. Sleepless nights keeping track of George's and Jayden's temperature, coughing episodes still on going.... It's crazy!
Worse hit was yesterday. When the haze comes, Jayden's cough took a worse turn. He was coughing and sneezing for whole day. He felt terrible. Nothing could settle him. He could not sleep well. Kept coughing and coughing, then cried, then awake and can't sleep throughout the night. Tired and worried, brought him to see PD again this morning.
We were in queue #5, but Jayden was the third to be on Nebulizer. Can you imagine how the haze has affected so many children?? PD said haze is affecting alot of kids and alot are now down with serious phlegm. He is expecting alot more of kids to be down with it. Sigh....
What I can say about Nebulizer is that it really works like Magic! As what the PD has described it to be! Although Nebulizer has the same function as Salbutamol syrup, Nebulizer directly goes straight to the lungs, unlike Salbutamol which goes through body for absorbtion. After inhaling Nebulizer for 5 minutes, Jayden feels so much better. He does not cough as much as yesterday and finally today, he can have a better afternoon nap. This also applies to his appetite. He was able to drink more milk as compared to last few days. I just hope 2 of them will get well soon!
Btw, could someone pls slaughter those pigs in Indonesia who always sets fire to fields, forest, etc... They are really very idiotic!
